Leather Belt handmade and saddle stitched

The "Moorlander" is Handmade belt.

I use  1 1/2", 5mm thick Bridle Leather from J & FJ Baker, Britains only remaining traditional oak bark tannery, a family run tannery since 1862. Each hide is produced over fourteen months in a sustainable way, producing this luxury and durable leather. This is complemented with solid brass quality hardware from a foundry in the midlands. Each belt is made using traditional skills and attention to detail at every stage of the making process, edges are creased and beveled giving a very comfortable feel to wear. Edges are left the natural colour and finished with beeswax. Holes are cut using an oval punch giving them strength and a pleasing aesthetic. The tanning process gives these belts a supply feel from new but being Bridle leather they will not stretch. Overall a top class handmade item that will last a very long time, looking better and better with age.

Pit tanned and dressed using traditional methods and materials to give extra tensile strength and longevity.

Measure a belt you use from the hole you use to the very end of the buckle this will be the size you require. I add three holes on either side of this for adjustment if required over the years. See the guide in the photos section.

The brass roller buckle hardware is solid and of the best quality.

I have included some pictures of the process used to make these lovely belts. These belt will become an heirloom piece.
